Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

When is drop off and pick up time?

You can drop off or pick up during our hours of 8-5 Monday- Friday, 9-1 on Saturday or 9-12 on Sunday. We are also available by appointment between 4-5 on Sunday. This is our home so we ask that you please observe these hours. Please allow 15-20 minutes to check in.

Charges begin the first day regardless of arrival time and there is no charge for departure day if picked up by 12:00 noon.

What if my dog need's medication or a special diet?

We will administer medications you bring in the original, labeled package at no extra cost. We also can follow special diets that you provide. Please see “What to Bring” for additional information.

Will you accept my unaltered pet?

Yes we accept intact dogs. We only require the date of the female's last heat. If in heat while with us, she will only get to play with a staff member. Special consideration is made when deciding playtime.

My dog does not get along with other dogs, can we still board?

Yes, we understand not all dogs enjoy other dogs. We offer individual play sessions with only a staff member to play ball, Frisbee or just rub bellies.

Who is responsible for lost or damaged belongings?

Sometimes even the most relaxed pets at home get very excited while on vacation, and destroy a toy or bed. Destiny's cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items. If a guest damages property of Destiny's Club Mutt, the pet owner is responsible.

What is the cancellation policy?

We require a 48 hours notice of any cancellation. We often have a waiting list and can give that space to another customer. At this time we do not require a reservation fee, but that is subject to change.

My dog has never boarded before what should I expect?

Your family member should adjust quickly to our facility, staff and routines. Feeding, medicating, cleaning and playtime are all regularly scheduled and bring order to the boarding environment. We do recommend touring the facility and asking all your questions before dropping of your pet. Quick drop offs are much easier for your pet.

We also recommend dropping off earlier in the day to allow your pet time to get to know us, get outside and adjust to new surroundings.

What if my dog gets hurt or sick while I'm away?

Your pet’s health and safety is our first priority. In the event of an emergency, we will make every effort to contact you, your emergency contact and/or your veterinarian. If we cannot reach either, or if the situation needs, we will contact the nearest emergency veterinarian. Destiny’s is not responsible for any illness or injury.

What is the vaccination policy?

All dogs on the property of Destiny's Club Mutt must have proof of current vaccinations. This includes Rabies, Distemper/Parvo combination and Bordatella. The bordatella must have been given in the last six months. For the health and safety of all our guests, there will be no exceptions.
